I apologize for the delay; it has taken longer than anticipated, and numerous other difficulties have come to my attention since our last conversation. I trust you do not take my length of time deliberating over the issue as a sign of disrespect, as it is much the opposite.

However, I must say that I still have the same concerns and hesitations I divulged with you during our last conversation. I do not feel comfortable meeting with you, or Satori, in person. Leveraging Dust -- a substance that is extraordinarily important to both myself and my students -- in order to coax an affirmative decision out of me is also a motivating factor in my lack of trust regarding the governance of Fayren. I would also like to note that any decision that I have made should not reflect upon General Ironwood, nor the rest of my colleagues; it is my decision, and mine alone.
I am, however, willing to answer whatever questions you have concerning the state of my world. Much of what Emerald says is not true -- and what is true is grossly exaggerated, to suit her narrative. But even then, I confess that I am not going to go into gross detail concerning the private matters of my students, nor will I answer questions of a sensitive nature concerning the past, present, or future of my colleagues that they may not want strangers to know. As a fellow leader responsible for a large amount of people, surely you can understand my own position, and my need to keep myself safe in a situation where the spread of information haphazardly could severely harm my students. I will not put them in danger to appease other concerns, however selfish that may be.

Should you still wish to cut off the supply of Dust from myself and my people due to the story of a child who has been brainwashed by a psychopath and has befriended a known murderer, I am afraid we have nothing else to discuss. It is precisely because I am at least in part responsible for the safety of thousands that the issue of Dust has become a concern. Dust is, to put it mildly, exceptionally dangerous in the wrong hands. The destructive potential rivals anything in my world, and to simply hand that out to anyone with money is simply irresponsible.

I will not deny that upon arrival, I was less than cordial to those within this place. I would hazard a guess that you have likely heard that I do not much care for humans. I do not deny that.

Regardless, I will not speak of something of this nature through a screen. The last time I was "trusted to listen to reason" I was shackled by a man who sought only to use me.

Dust is utilized in my universe in order to fight the Grimm, and for our technology. It isn't something that can be tossed about without practice, and proper management. Huntsmen and huntresses utilize it for our gifts, and weaponry, in order to defend ourselve and the people. To anyone else, it is practically useless.
[ is it volatile, of course. it is dangerous in large doses, over long periods of time. naturally. what isn't? but ozpin -- while he has made many mistakes, and has caused something of a mess in his world -- will not have remnant painted as some world of despots who toss about a volatile substance without care or practice. he, and his students, are better than that. ]

We require Dust to combat them properly, and trust me when I say that you cannot defeat what remains in this city alone. You may be responsible for the lives within Fayren, but I am responsible for the lives of those from Remnant, and I will not stand by and allow you to jump to a rash conclusion based on my own feelings of misgiving regarding how you are both handling this situation, and your particular gifts. I said I was willing to tell you the truth, but not in person; clearly, my own research regarding your activities here has put me on guard. You are the one refusing my side of the story, when no one else has.

The Venusaur napping behind Mewtwo even opened one eye, shook the massive flower on its back, causing a pink dust to fill the air in an attempt to soothe his friend, but with the flick of a misshapen finger, the dust was wiped from the air. The Venusaur gives an annoyed grunt before standing and lumbering out of view.]
Because neither Satori nor myself have the luxury of simply taking a human on good faith. We have only survived this long by distrusting those who hide behind screens. If that is all you have to say, however, I am done speaking to you. If you truly had nothing to hide, you would have agreed to our terms, but as it stands, you have only made yourself more suspicious than anyone from your world.
