➳ Ozpin has mastered his own aura and utilizes it to power his semblance and his fighting ability.
➳ Ozpin can also utilize his aura to defend himself via giant green bubble, because Wizard of Oz.

✎ DEFINITION:

"Semblance is the manifestation of one's innate and personal power as an ability unique to each individual, with the effects varying greatly from user to user. The nature of one's Semblance is noted as representing an aspect of their character."

➳ Ozpin's (speculated) semblance is time dilation.



➳ From Ozpin's wiki: "He appears capable of some form of time dilation, able to utilize his cane at inhuman speeds. Furthermore, Ozpin is able to resist attacks of incredible power by conjuring a barrier around himself, granting himself immunity to damage."
➳ Ozpin slows down time around him in order to move at an apparently super-human speed.
➳ This is not confirmed canon and is speculation.
➳ However, examining his fight with Cinder leads little other option, as Ozpin normally walks with a limp and constantly uses his cane as an actual walking stick, and not just a weapon.
➳ He is also literally surrounded by clocks at all hours of the day, so you know this asshole spends time in his office slowing down time for ha-has and dicking around with his employees.

➳ Ozpin walks with a limp.
➳ He also doesn't appear to be very physically strong.
➳ However, he is very adept in battle and managed to hold off Cinder for quite some time (presumably), and wasn't seen as taking very many hits.
➳ He 100% guaranteed has a caffeine addiction and Salem is probably just depriving him of it right now which is literal torture.
➳ Speculation: Due to his representation as the Wizard of Oz, it may be possible that Ozpin is a glass cannon. Extraordinarily powerful, but one hit and he's down.
